to be loved...

yesterday i had such a rough day at work, all i wanted to do was to crawl into a nice hot bath and soak my day away. i expressed my thoughts to my husband and he held me in his arms of comfort and listened to me gripe. such a good man. he decided it was going to be an evening of relaxation, so we lit candles, turned on some smoothing tunes and topped it off with great conversation filled with laughter. it's so nice to have some one by your side, to love, to listen, and to laugh. it's a good thing

let's hear those sleigh bells.....

can you believe christmas is here already? wow, time sure flies by when you're having fun, and fun it has been. above is our christmas tree. i was not going to put one up at all. with everything, i always say, "next time", but i realize that next time is here and i really need to start our marriage out with traditional things that I would like for us to continue years to come. this is the first christmas for orville and I as man and wife. i can't believe our one month anniversary is here. and unfortunately, i have turned into one of those wives that talk about their wedding day to anyone that will listen. as the new year approaches i am anxiously putting together a list for my new year's resolutions. on top of my list, pray more-worry less.

today was a slow day for me and my husband (well for me at least). i slept in until 10,he got up at 7. while i strolled downstairs to get my first cup of milo (almost like hot cocoa), my husband was just catching his second wind. we sat down to have breakfast and conversations. married life is wonderful....

I'm back

i know, i know, i know. how could i leave you guys hanging with nothing to look forward to everyday? well, i have a good excuse. i just tied the knot. yippeee!!!! you should have been there, it was amazing and the most beautiful wedding i have ever been to (i know a little bias) and i have to say, married life is the best (pictures to follow, soon). while on our honeymoon we came across one of the many street vendors, who painted this picture using spray paint, yes, spray paint. it was amazing to see the talent going into his work. sorry, i didn't get his name, but if ever in hawaii, check out waikiki and look out for a matthew mcconaughey look alike (a little taller and a little chunkier)........

quiet time

today was a quiet mellow day of enjoying the sites, thinking of life and appreciating the world around me. while exploring the grounds of congress hall, i saw this sign which i thought was so thoughtful and wish i could have a sign for every thought. like, "enter with inspiration."
